Nueva Esperanza Intern Program
Are you interested in missions and want to experience what living overseas could look like? Come serve with Nueva Esperanza for an extended period of time (3 weeks - 3 months) as an intern!

Through this program, our goal is to help individuals seek to discern God’s calling on their life and
discover the role missions may play in that. While we hope that some may choose to continue serving with Nueva Esperanza in the future, our main focus for this program is to prepare them for wherever God is calling them to serve, whether that be in another country, state, city, or right next door.

Interns will have the opportunity to get involved in day to day ministry with our children, youth, and staff, while also experiencing what living and serving in a different culture and country could look like. While here interns will have the chance to learn more about the
mission of Nueva Esperanza while being immersed in the Spanish language and culture of Tegucigalpa.

Before arriving in Honduras, interns will be in communication with our Intern Program Coordinator, to determine what ways they will best be able to use their gifting to serve with Nueva Esperanza. The types of interns include:

  • Office Intern – assisting with administrative tasks in the office and around the ministry
  •  Classroom Assistant Intern – working with one of our bilingual teachers in the Children’s ministry
  • Youth Ministry Intern – assisting in our youth ministry with classes, lessons, and events
  • Construction Intern – joining our construction workers as they complete maintenance and construction tasks around the ministry
  • Health Care Intern
