Woody Roland is honored to be on the Board of Nueva Esperanza. He and his wife, Su, spent most of 36 years serving as missionaries in Bolivia and Costa Rica. They planted churches and led teams of missionaries throughout Latin America. Woody served as the Latin America Regional Director for International Teams for over twenty years. From 1986 to 1990 he was the president of Seminario Biblico Evangelico in La Paz, Bolivia. They have a passionate love for the people of Latin America
In 2014, Woody and Su returned to their hometown of Rochester, Minnesota, where Woody served as Global Missions Pastor at Autumn Ridge Church. Autumn Ridge has a strong missions DNA, supporting many missionaries around the world. The church has a long history with Nueva Esperanza and continues to partner with this valuable ministry.
In 2022, Woody retired from full-time ministry after 45 years of service. He and Su currently live in Lanesboro, Minnesota. He continues to serve by sitting on the board and providing leadership for three diverse ministries.
